Tangy, bright, garlicky & slightly sweet, All-Purpose Vinaigrette is absolutely addictive. I could honestly eat it with a spoon! It.is.so.good.

Drawing inspiration from the pwwb all-purpose grilling marinade (pwwb’s most loved recipe this summer!), I really wanted to create an easy vinaigrette recipe that would pair with practically everything. Enter this thing of beauty, the pwwb All-Purpose Vinaigrette.

This simple vinaigrette recipe calls for minimal ingredients, but each packs a mean punch of flavor: golden balsamic vinegar for sweet tang, lemon juice for brightness, Dijon for extra tang, garlic for bite, & honey or maple syrup to balance it all out with some sweetness.

& my very favorite part? You can serve it up with almost anything. The sweetness & subtlety of the golden balsamic vinegar makes it a great pair for delicate greens like spinach or arugula, while the garlic & Dijon give it the oomph to stand up to hearty ingredients like kale or brussels sprouts.

My go-to pairing? A simple arugula salad with roasted chicken, veggies & goat cheese. ? You really can’t go wrong.

All-Purpose Vinaigrette Ingredients:

One of my favorite things about this simple vinaigrette recipe is that it’s made with simple pantry staple ingredients you probably already have on hand, like:

  • olive oil
  • golden balsamic vinegar
  • lemon juice
  • dijon mustard
  • garlic
  • honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • kosher salt

That’s it! Simple, right?

When it comes to olive oil, I’m of course partial to DeLallo’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil! I’ve had the opportunity to work with this olive oil in my kitchen on a daily basis for the past year. It’s truly the best!

DeLallo’s is a 100% authentic Italian olive oil, made with a blend of 4 different olives grown in Southern Italy. The oil is extracted with a cold-press process, meaning no chemicals or heat is used in the extraction process that would harm the integrity of the olives. The olive oil retains its flavor, as well as its nutritional benefits. ?? How to make All-Purpose Vinaigrette:

Note: full directions are listed in the Recipe Card, below.

Making a batch of all-purpose vinaigrette couldn’t be simpler. Add all of the ingredients to a jar. Seal it up & give it a good shake. Voila! Your all-purpose vinaigrette is ready! I like using mason jars because the measure lines are right along the side of the jar – no need to dirty extra measuring cups or spoons = win!

If you want your vinaigrette to be super smooth & creamy, as shown here, simply add all the ingredients to a food processor or blender & blend to combine. The powerful blades of the blender or food processor will emulsify the olive oil & the vinegar. This will result in that super creamy, dreamy texture found in store-bought salad dressings, & the vinaigrette shouldn’t separate much as it sits.

Storage:

All-purpose vinaigrette will keep, stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

How to use All-Purpose Vinaigrette:

As its name would suggest, the beauty of this recipe is that you can use this all-purpose vinaigrette on pretty much anything! It’s light & slightly sweet enough to pair well with delicate greens, but also has enough oomph to stand up to heartier ingredients.

Some of my favorite ways to use all-purpose vinaigrette include:

  • A simple arugula salad with roasted chicken, veggies & goat cheese (my go-to!)
  • Massaged into kale (this kale salad is always a winner!)
  • Served with grilled veggies (like a plate of crispy charred asparagus, or an easy grilled vegetable platter)
  • Drizzled over roasted veggies (think: cauliflower, brussels sprouts)

The options are truly endless!
