i’m changing things up a little bit this week as monday marked an important milestone in both my life & my relationship with my husband: our one year wedding anniversary.
the most common thing you’ll hear from any bride is just how quickly the wedding day will fly by. you spend months & months planning & preparing for every second of the big day & once it finally arrives it’s like you blink & it’s gone.
however, when i think back on our wedding day & where we were in our lives exactly one year ago, i can’t help but also think of how much has happened in the time since.
this whole year has flown by: it’s been a crazy year, for chris & me both. in one year’s time, we both hopped on to new career opportunities that relocated us from our home in milwaukee to minneapolis. we packed all of our belongings & moved to a new apartment in a new city. we’ve explored the restaurants here & have made new friends. we’ve traveled across the u.s. from minneapolis, to washington dc, to seattle, to hawaii. chris began an mba program. i’ve started this blog. & we have even more exciting news to share soon about where what year #2 has in store for us.
yes, a busy year it has been indeed, but in the best way possible.
so, about a month back i finally took the time to sit down & organize all of our beautiful wedding photos (courtesy of our dear friend & super talented photographer ren of studio 29) into a wedding album. psa: if you want a chic wedding album that is modern & affordable, look no further than artifact uprising. i’m seriously obsessed.
the celebration of this milestone, as well as repeatedly paging through our wedding album, has got me in a super reflective headspace, so don’t mind me.
for now i’m happy to be stuck in milwaukee wedding dreams…
