It has all the zesty herbs and cooling tanginess of ranch with a little spicy kick! Made with Greek yogurt for the ultimate creamy texture (no mayo!), smoky chipotle peppers, and a few staple pantry spices, it’s easy to whip up in just 5 minutes.

It’s the perfect chipotle ranch dressing recipe for salads and bowls, and doubles as an easy homemade dip for tacos, quesadillas, and wings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (use 5% whole fat or 2% low-fat for thick and creamy results)
  • 1 large, juicy lime, juiced (approx. 2-3 tablespoons)
  • 2 chipotle peppers from a can packed in adobo sauce, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped or grated
  • ¼ cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • heaping ½ teaspoon dried dill
  • heaping ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • heaping ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • heaping ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • kosher salt and ground black pepper, to season
  • 2 tablespoons – ¼ cup water, as needed

Instructions

  1. Mix the chipotle ranch dressing: To a small bowl, add all listed ingredients (Greek yogurt – smoked paprika). Season with ½ teaspoon kosher salt and ground black pepper as desired. Whisk until smooth and well combined. Thin the dressing with water, adding gradually until your desired consistency is reached. 2. Serve: Enjoy immediately. This creamy chipotle dressing is perfect for tossing into a taco salad or drizzling over your favorite weeknight tacos, sheet pan enchiladas, and more. If you leave it a little thicker it’s also a great creamy dip for a grilled veggie platter or a pile of crispy chicken wings. Sky’s the limit, you really can’t go wrong—get creative and have fun with it. Enjoy! An overhead shot of chipotle ranch dressing with a spoon in a glass bowl atop a white marbled surface. Notes

  • Storage: Store prepared chipotle ranch dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. The dressing may thicken as it chills—just whisk in a little water before serving to reach your desired consistency.
